Job description

Calling all cyber experts! Do you have a hawk-eye for vulnerabilities and a passion for keeping critical systems safe? If so, join a leading global mining organisation as a Cyber Security Engineer and become a vital part of their cyber team on an international level.

You'll be at the forefront of identifying and eradicating threats before they can cause damage.

Here's what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Patch the Leaks: Secure the organisation's infrastructure by maintaining and improving their security controls.
  • Vulnerability Hunter: Analyse server authentication protocols, identify weaknesses, and collaborate with operations to eliminate them before they get exploited.
  • Communication Commando: Bridge the gap between IT and the business, ensuring everyone's on the same page when it comes to security.

We're searching for a sharp mind with:

  • Must be based in Brisbane with full working rights in Australia
  • The ability to manage large-scale Windows, desktop, and Linux environments like a pro.
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts (protocols, subnetting, routing).
  • Experience navigating cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and how identity management works within them.
  • Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell (bonus points for both!).
  • Experience in a global organisation with large IT setups, familiar with ITIL processes (change control, incident management).
  • Self-motivation and top-notch organisation skills - meticulousness is key!

Bonus points if you've worked with:

  • ServiceNow
  • Group Policy
  • Windows Server
  • Sentinel / KQL
