With over two decades of experience in recruitment, James McVey reflects on his career and long-standing tenure at Paxus: “After over 25 years in recruitment, there have been some highs and lows, but one thing I can say is that I still get a big kick out of telling someone who’s really keen on a role that they’ve landed the gig. I’ve been at Paxus for 17 years now and have had the chance to work alongside some fantastic people in that time. It’s been great to watch colleagues grow their careers at such a reputable company in the recruitment industry. My golden rules are to always respect people’s decisions, treat every candidate like a client, and, most importantly, never take yourself too seriously.”
