Job description

Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Anywhere in Australia (Must be available in East Coast hours)

5 days on-site

Job/Project Description - tasks to be performed on a daily basis
As an experienced SAP Mobility consultant, you will deliver innovative business solutions through design, build and test. You will leverage your subject matter expertise and your leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client success. We will give you access to unique career opportunities, and a vast and diverse network of talented SAP professionals.

As a member of a team of technical developers. You will be part of the team responsible for the overall approach and strategy for the use of mobile solutions as a user experience/user interface solution for a complex SAP implementation with potentially over 50,000 users. You will perform technical design, produce technical specifications, and build Mobile/Disconnected solutions. You will work closely with the design team and test teams to resolve defects associated with the Mobile solutions.


We would like you to have a solid SAP Mobile background with at least 2 full implementations, ideally in a large government organisation environment. Strong experience in Mobile technologies across a suite of products is ideal. Experience in the SAP specific mobile solutions is also a must.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen
  • Baseline security clearance

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Experience developing Native Android SAP mobile solutions
  • Demonstrable skills in SAP Mobile Platform or BTP Mobile, Netweaver Gateway
  • Good knowledge of ABAP, oData development and REST services
  • Experience in Fiori Design patterns, expertise in UI Theme designer
  • Experience with SAP BTP SDK
  • Good knowledge on MVC framework
  • Knowledge of S4HANA and CDS is an added advantage
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen, understand, and adapt to the audience; to ensure common understanding.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience developing SAP mobile solutions
  • Android SDKs
  • Experience with other SAP UI solutions (Personas, WebDynpro, ITS Mobile)
  • Demonstrated experience developing custom SAP Mobile apps using SAP BTP SDK
  • Experience working in large SAP project teams with complex business rules
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and to share information
