Melbourne based - 12 months contract with extensions likely - Must be AU Citizens (Baseline Security Clearance preferred)!
Work as a Cloud DevOps Engineer with a leading Consulting firm on one of their government sector projects in Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or other languages.
Experience required:
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud and DevOps roles, with strong hands-on experience in AWS.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Elasticache, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3).
- Proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Packer).
- Experience with monitoring stacks such as Elastic Stack (ELK).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
