Job description
Client is looking for a DevOps engineer who plays a critical role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, facilitating continuous delivery and integration (CI/CD) of software applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years' experience in software development, preferably with exposure to .NET technologies like C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practical experience with operations and best practices.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS. Azure, or Google Cloud experience is nice to have.
- Experience in monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, DataDog, or Splunk.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, particularly C#, SQL, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Octopus Deploy.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Understanding of infrastructure and application security, with knowledge of security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on automation and improving efficiency.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, thriving in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Pragmatic approach to tool selection, ensuring the right tools are used for the right task.
