Job description
Client is looking for a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Data Engineer who is responsible for designing, building, and managing data infrastructure and pipelines on Google Cloud.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform and data integration, along with expertise in designing BI solutions using Cloud Store, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and BigTable.
- Programming experience in Core Java, Advanced Java, Spark, and Python.
- Ability to provide solutions for critical issues across development and production support projects.
- Familiarity with tools such as Airflow, Composer, BigQuery, APIs, Cloud Functions, and GitHub.
- Strong analytical abilities for understanding business requirements and implementing them using Python.
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to create complex queries.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with client-facing experience to complement technical expertise.
- Capable of independently designing and developing solutions based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with the SSE team to complete analysis, design, and other project phases.
- Participate in requirement gathering, analysis, and design, creating and finalizing solution architecture using GCP.
- Involved in reviewing project artifacts and maintaining client communication.
- Experience in handling production support issues on platforms like Cloudera and GCP.
- Background in data migration projects on GCP.
- Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as NIFI and Control-M.
- Extensive experience developing SQL scripts.
- In-depth understanding of GCP architecture and performing ETL operations through scripts and terminal commands.
