We are seeking an experienced IBM DataPower Engineer with NV1 or NV2 clearance to join a high-impact Defence ICT transformation program. This is a rare opportunity to work on mission-critical IBM integration and security projects supporting Defence operations.
This role is ideal for an IBM middleware expert with hands-on experience in IBM DataPower, WebSphere MQ, App Connect Enterprise (ACE), ISDS, and ISAM. If you have strong skills in API security, firewall configurations, and large-scale IBM system integration, we want to hear from you!

🔹 What You'll Be Doing
✔ Deploy, configure, and optimise IBM DataPower appliances in secure Defence environments.
✔ Upgrade IBM WebSphere MQ & App Connect Enterprise (ACE) for high-availability messaging and integration.
✔ Migrate IBM security platforms (ISDS, ISAM) to the latest Defence-compliant versions.
✔ Manage firewall rule updates & cybersecurity configurations for Defence networks.
✔ Work with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) VMs to deploy IBM virtual appliances.
✔ Troubleshoot complex IBM middleware issues and ensure high system availability.
✔ Collaborate with Defence stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration with minimal disruption.
🔹 Who We're Looking For
✅ IBM DataPower Specialist - Proven hands-on experience in IBM DataPower Gateway (IDG), including configuration, deployment, and security hardening.
✅ IBM Middleware Expertise - Strong experience with IBM WebSphere MQ, ACE, ISDS, ISAM, and API security policies.
✅ Defence ICT Experience - Must hold NV1 or NV2 clearance and understand Defence security frameworks.
✅ Red Hat Linux (RHEL) & Virtualisation - Experience with IBM software deployments on Linux-based environments.
✅ Security & Firewall Knowledge - Deep understanding of firewall updates, zero-trust security principles, and network security policies.
✅ Problem-Solving Mindset - Ability to troubleshoot complex integration and performance issues in mission-critical environments.
