Job description

Our client is a distinguished leader in the Australian Mining & Agriculture sectors, recognized for their commitment to excellence and innovation. They are seeking a proficient Service Desk Engineer (L1/L2) to join their team on a 12-month contract basis, with strong potential for extensions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second level technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system (ServiceNow).
  • Resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network configurations promptly and efficiently.
  • Escalate complex problems to appropriate teams for resolution when necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and networks.
  • Document and track support incidents and service requests using the IT service management system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to optimize processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an L1 & L2 Desktop/Help Desk Engineer or similar role, ideally with 3-5 years of experience. Experience in the resources sector is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and remote support solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical details clearly.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are desirable.
  • Motivated and proactive individual who thrives on problem-solving and taking initiative.
