- Candidates must be Melbourne or Canberra based - 3 days work from office
- 12 months Contract with likely extensions
- Must have NV1 Security Clearance.
Work as a Network Architect/ SME with a Global Consulting firm on one of their established Government sector projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop comprehensive network designs, architect scalable and resilient network solutions for data centers, cloud environments, and enterprise networks.
- Lead the implementation and configuration of network hardware and software, including Cisco Switches, Arsita Switches, FortiGate firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers. Ensure optimal performance and security.
- Expert-level proficiency with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, VTP, EtherChannel).
- Design and manage network solutions within the Azure Cloud environment. Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate on-premises and cloud networks seamlessly.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of data center technologies, ensuring high availability and redundancy. Implement best practices for data center networking.
- Configure and manage Fortigate firewalls, ensuring robust security policies and practices. Monitor network security and respond to incidents promptly.
- Optimize network traffic using F5 Load Balancers. Implement load balancing strategies to enhance application performance and reliability.
Skills and Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CCIE, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network architecture and engineering roles. Proven track record of designing and managing complex network infrastructures.
- Deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures.
- Proficiency in Cisco Switches, Arsita Switches, Data Center Technologies, Fortigate firewalls, Azure Cloud Networking, and F5 Load Balancers.
