Job description

THE ROLE

As the Prinicpal Project Officer you will lead and manage the design and implementation of a large-scale infrastructure project at assigned department locations, by ensuring successful delivery by sub-contractors, suppliers and internal service providers. Success of this role will involve completion within agreed performance criteria that will contribute to positive patient and business outcomes.

EXPERIENCE

  • Infrastructure Project Planning - Proven ability to develop and maintain an infrastructure project plan taking into consideration multiple site deployments, multiple sub-contractor program schedules, standards compliance, physical/environmental constraints, procurement and any other technical activities required to deliver success infrastructure uplift projects.
  • Infrastructure Project delivery - Five or more years' experience in the delivery of infrastructure uplifts in large, complex 24 x 7 organisations preferably in the health care sector and in managing large project budgets.
  • Governance and assurance - Proven experience in effective governance, presenting to Project Boards, project and technical assurance (inc. Quantity Surveyor and Superintendent liaison), benefits management, lessons learned, change management and performance management that contributes to the overall achievement of the infrastructure projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant degree or qualifications in Information Communication and Technology or construction-related disciplines would be highly desirable.
  • A current foundation/practitioner certification in one or more of the following AXELOS methodologies:
    PRINCE2® project management methodology
    MSP® program management methodology
  • Experience in construction and/or refurbishment projects
