Job description

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable mining company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and execute critical radio frequency (RF) project within the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning to final implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • RF System Design and Implementation:
    • Collaborate with engineers to design and optimize RF systems for mining environments.
    • Oversee the installation and commissioning of RF equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Effectively communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.
    • Manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in project management, ideally within the mining industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of RF technologies, including propagation, antenna systems, and network design.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
