Job description

Our client is a local government department and they are currently looking for a Senior Technical Test Analyst to join them on a 12 month contract + extensions on offer. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible WFH on offer.

The Role:

The Senior Technical Test Analyst will be responsible for the following deliverables within the Project:

  1. Creating testing artefacts, including test plan and test summary report documents.
  2. Creating automated API tests and automated regression tests.
  3. Create and manage automated test framework to support creation and updating automated tests.
  4. Managing, co-ordinating testing and executing tests.
  5. Ensuring that the testing standards and templates align to the department's and to the industry practices.
  6. Mentoring and providing guidance to subject matter experts and business representatives within the department.
  7. Create and execute efficiency testing (performance, load, and stress).
  8. Perform manual test case execution and analysis as directed by test manager.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in both Manual and Automation testing of mobile applications, websites and single page applications within an Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Experience of testing methodologies and use of test tools such as Zephyr Scale, Azure Devops, Lambda Test, JIRA, Confluence with a good understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role of testing in successful projects delivery.
  • Experienced capability with testing tools including Postman, RESTSharp, ReadyAPI by SmartBear or such skills, experience, and aptitude in similar testing tools, ensuring a rapid ramp up with the Testing Suite is achievable.
  • Experienced capability of designing and implementing automation test frameworks to support ongoing automated regression testing using WebDriverIO; .NET, Java, Typescript, Azure YAML pipelines or similar. · Experiencing in creating and updating automated regression test scripts
  • Proven testing coordination experience. Ability to coordinate all testing activities independently.
  • Work independently to create and execute performance tests for web services with Apache JMeter, LOADRunner or similar.
  • Significant practical experience with and knowledge in the testing of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) / Web Services.
