Solution Architect - Enterprise Data



What's the role?

As a Solution Architect, you'll be a vital part of the team who is architecting and implementing robust technology solutions. You'll collaborate closely with cross- functional teams and business stakeholders. Your expertise in data architecture, modelling, warehousing, data integration and information management will help drive our success.

Here are the key things you will do to "bring ideas to life":

  • Assist the delivery of Enterprise Data Strategy and provide data and information architecture services to key programs and
  • Analyse and document the current state data architecture, identify gaps through the decomposition of information and data requirements, and develop future state data architecture and roadmaps, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, availability, performance and
  • Design and develop robust data and information architecture solutions for both transactional and analytical
  • Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, design and optimise databases (relational, NoSQL, ) to support business requirements.
  • Document information architecture designs, data flows, and data processes, data integration and transformation patterns, standards, taxonomies and
  • Contribute to the definition and design of the enterprise data architecture, master data and metadata reference
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance to teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address data

The successful candidate will bring significant experience and expertise to the role, including:

  • Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Data and Information Management Systems or a related
  • Professional Experience: Substantial professional experience in data architecture, data modelling, data warehousing, database design (relational, NoSQL, etc.), data integration and information
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of data architecture frameworks, data modelling techniques, concepts and tools, data governance, and data
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills, particularly when working with project teams and solution architects to manage their data architecture
  • Cloud Experience: Proficiency with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, . Familiarity with tools such as data catalogue (Microsoft Purview preferred), data modelling (SQLDBM preferred), data visualisation (Microsoft Fabric and Power BI) is also required.
