Job description

THE ROLE

Our client, a world leader in the Mining Industry is currently seeking a forward thinking and talented individual to take on the key role of Specialist - Platforms and Networks, reporting to the Surface Technology Operations Supervisor.

This role is suited to someone who has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and are looking for a high paced role with the opportunity to make a difference supporting the Operational Maintenance and Technology Teams.

KEY SKILLS

* Support daily technology maintenance execution activities across all critical Technology equipment and networks, including planned and breakdown work.
* Provide subject matter expertise to support teams to resolve priority issues.
* Establish positive working relationships with operations and support functions
* Identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to potential value to the business
* Ensure disruption to operations resulting from network and communication system-based activities are minimised or eliminated.
* Resolve any technical queries from teams, projects and customers

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

* Background and qualifications in Networks (industrial would be an advantage) and associated equipment and architecture.
* Experience across wireless and wired networks, including the Cisco and Cambium hardware ranges, and experience in data centre/server management and support is highly desirable
* Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to translate user and business requirements into secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure solution architecture solutions
* Assist with testing, deploying and commissioning quality technology infrastructure.
