Job description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Engineer to join their Canberra or Melbourne team. This is a 12 month contract with 1x12 month contract. This role is open for Australian citizens with an active NV1 Clearance.

  • 12 month contract with 1x12 month extension option.
  • Open for Canberra or Melbourne.
  • Hybrid role ( 3 days in office and 2 days WFH)
  • Open to Australian citizens with the ability to obtain an NV1 clearance
  • Paxus pays weekly

As a Zero Trust Engineer you will work closely with and influencing multi-disciplinary teams to develop and maintain zero trust security processes, ensuring robust protection of digital assets. The role requires a deep understanding of zero trust principles, advanced security technologies, and hands-on experience in cyber security.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Working within an agile delivery framework, lead the design and implementation of zero trust security architecture and frameworks
  • Staying up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to achieve security and usability objectives

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Demonstrated familiarity with zero trust principles (particularly NIST ZTF)
  • Extensive knowledge of security principles, standards, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technically challenging programs
  • Experience and strong knowledge of orchestration and automation in a security environment
  • Demonstrated experience working across and influencing multiple teams
  • Considerable experience with Azure, M365 and/or Amazon technologies
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management skills
