Job description
Our client is seeking a skilled Cyber Solution Architect with expertise in Data Protection to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of cyber security architecture capabilities. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about improving security frameworks and implementing strategic data protection measures across complex environments.
THE ROLE
As the Cyber Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and operationalising Data Protection capabilities, including cryptography/Public Key Infrastructure, Data Loss Prevention, Data Rights Management, and Information Classification. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop roadmaps, optimise security strategies, and drive continuous improvement in data protection practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and drive the development of Data Protection capabilities within the enterprise security framework.
- Provide expert advice on Data Protection technologies and security best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align security strategies with business needs.
- Develop roadmaps for security improvements to ensure business and security goals are met.
- Contribute to cyber security risk assessments and incident response activities.
- Produce technical documentation, security artefacts, and architecture guidelines.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Implement and support Agile, Lean, and traditional project delivery models.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in Data Protection technologies and/or solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, with a strong focus on enterprise security.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks such as IS18, Essential 8, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, PSPF/ISM.
- Hands-on experience with cryptography, PKI, DLP, DRM, and Information Classification.
- Strong understanding of cyber security risk management and control frameworks.
- Ability to engage with diverse business users, from IT professionals to frontline staff.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related disciplines
