Job description

THE ROLE

Our client is currently seeking an experienced ICT Workplace Services Domain Architect to design, govern, and evolve workplace technology solutions. This role will focus on collaboration tools, end-user devices, productivity software, and infrastructure to drive a modern, secure, and cost-effective IT environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain workplace technology roadmaps to align with business goals.
  • Lead modernisation initiatives, including cloud migration and next-gen endpoint management.
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistency, security, and usability.
  • Provide architectural leadership in selecting and integrating workplace solutions.
  • Assess emerging technologies like AI-driven productivity tools and virtual collaboration solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure workplace services meet business needs.
  • Mentor technical teams and provide expert guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with security teams to manage risks and compliance.
  • Optimise performance and user experience of workplace technologies.
  • Oversee change management and adoption strategies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Expertise in end-user computing environments (Windows, macOS, mobile platforms).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and endpoint management.
  • Proven ability to design and implement workplace architecture solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-based workplace solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Track record of leading modernisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and technical advisory experience.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and project management capability.
