ICT Infrastructure Business Analyst

  • 12 months +2x 12months contract

About the role

The Department utilises both cloud and on-prem services and is uplifting its cyber security posture. A multi-year ICT program has been established to facilitate this objective. An ICT Infrastructure Business Analyst is required to assist with developing detailed mapping documentation to enable cloud migrations. The business analyst will work closely with business units located both domestically and internationally to achieve this objective. The analyst will need to work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. software vendors) to facilitate automated workflows between dependant systems.

Responsibilities

  • Examine existing analysis and mapping frameworks to determine if cyber security posture improvements and operational gains are possible.
  • Liaise, and document learnings, based on discussions with a variety of organisational stakeholders who are located domestically and internationally.
  • Consolidate and define organisational groups and roles in a format that supports automated migrations.
  • Develop efficient operating models that work effectively in a distributed, security focussed, environment.
  • Facilitate market approaches based on defined criteria.
  • Collaborate with third-party engineering teams, and internal technical teams, to implement detailed business requirements.
  • Assist with transition to service documentation (e.g. standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles).

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to perform analysis and produce deliverables based on existing analysis frameworks.
  • Proven ability to develop functional and non-functional requirements for large-scale ICT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience developing documentation to support competitive market approaches.
    An understanding of cloud-based services and their interaction with on-prem services.
    Ability to produce operating models that work in a distributed, security focused, organisation.
  • Collaborate with the third-party engineering teams and internal technical resources to implement business requirements.

Desirable criteria

  • A minimum of 5-years business analyst experience.
  • High-level interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing requirements for cloud services.
  • Experience working on cyber security initiatives.
