Location: Canberra

PAXUS PAYS WEEKLY

RESPONSIBILITIES

The procedural, governance, and procurement documentation will outline standardized processes for procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and best practices. This will include documenting procurement plans, methods, and contracts, as well as defining roles and responsibilities within a governance framework to ensure accountability, transparency, and legal compliance. Quality assurance processes will be established to review procurement documentation, ensuring alignment with internal standards and legal requirements, with regular audits for continuous improvement. Additionally, the documentation will cover the coordination and facilitation of procurement meetings and workshops, such as industry briefings and evaluation sessions, ensuring effective communication and decision-making. Risk assessments will be developed to identify, assess, and mitigate procurement and contract management risks, with clear monitoring and reporting mechanisms.

Guidance and advice on procurement strategies, contract terms, and supplier management will be provided to stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making. General contract management responsibilities will include monitoring performance, addressing disputes, and ensuring the successful closure of contracts. Further, additional duties as directed by the Manager, Talent Strategy and Workforce Management will be performed, ensuring responsiveness to evolving needs within the procurement function.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Comprehensive experience with and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and all relevant additional procurement related policies and legislation;
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex end-to-end procurement approaches;
  • Demonstrated experience drafting complex procurement documentation including but not limited to: RFT documentation- head documents, statements of requirement and complex response schedules;
  • Draft commercial arrangements;
  • Demonstrated experience successfully administered contracts;
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk, including the development of comprehensive risk assessments;
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering positive results with time restraints and competing priorities;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationships; and
  • Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.

Desirable Criteria

Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification. For example, Diploma of Government and/or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or equivalent.
