Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic ICT Solution Architecture Design and Practice Lead to provide leadership across a complex ICT Program of Work. This role is key to transforming architectural practices, leading a high-performing team, and delivering business-aligned, future-focused technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of solution architects to drive excellence and innovation
- Review and uplift the current architecture practice, enhancing governance, agility, and alignment with strategic objectives
- Develop and deliver high-quality architecture artefacts such as high-level designs, implementation plans, and options analyses
- Provide architectural leadership across multiple programs and projects
- Promote standardisation, scalability, and security in solution designs
- Engage and influence stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor landscapes
- Support ICT procurement and vendor evaluation processes
- Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring architecture or technical teams
- Extensive experience in solution architecture across a range of ICT domains in large, complex organisations
- Strong alignment of architectural work to strategic business and digital objectives
- Expertise in architectural governance, assurance, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience in ICT procurement and vendor engagement
- Strong communication, planning, and multi-project management skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in ICT, business, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks
- Experience leading transformation within complex environments
