Job description

THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced Learning Management System (LMS) Integration Specialist for a high-impact, 12-month contract role with a Major Australian Institution currently undergoing large-scale transformation.

This role is perfect for a technically capable professional who thrives on integration challenges, particularly within the Canvas LMS environment. You'll play a critical part in integrating third-party tools into a new LMS platform, ensuring a seamless and secure learning experience for users across the organisation.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Initial 12-month contract
  • $800 to $1000/day + GST (based on experience)
  • Flexible working arrangements with minimum 2 days onsite
  • Central Adelaide-based location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and manage LTI integrations within Canvas LMS (LTI 1.1, 1.3, Advantage)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot integrations with external tools
  • Support Identity and Access Management (IDAM) integrations and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML)
  • Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth system operations
  • Assist with Canvas API configurations and backend interoperability

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience configuring and managing LTI tools in Canvas LMS
  • Strong understanding of LTI standards and LMS system architecture
  • Familiarity with authentication standards (OAuth, SAML) and Canvas APIs
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Background in higher education or corporate learning environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and SIS integrations (nice to have)
