Multiple Program Managers

• 12 months contract with 2X 12 months extension options
• Australian citizens with Baseline security clearance
• Location: Canberra, ACT
• Hybrid working arrangement

We are looking for multiple Program Managers to send to a large federal government department in various areas.

Key responsibilities

• Implementing robust project management methodologies to manage project timeframes and manage key stakeholder expectations.
• Develop program and project transition plans and support establishment of the Transition Hub.
• Overseeing technical elements of the transition, including providing guidance and an escalation point to the commercial and technical teams with key external technology and service suppliers and overseeing vendor transition activities during delivery.
• Scanning the internal environment and anticipating roadblocks to delivery of the projects and presenting options and practical recommendations to the governing executive to resolve.
• Preparing project status reports on a monthly basis, advising progress against plan, strategic opportunities and threats.
• Preparing and presenting steering committee papers in relation to the program, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Building effective relationships and influencing key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the Transition Program.
• Managing change and communications to wider stakeholders and impacted users

Skills and experience

• High level program management experience, with a focus on business readiness and transition in service.
• Project/Program performance and benefits management experience.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, analytical and influencing skills.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
• 5+ years' experience in major ICT project/program management
• Deep knowledge of technology project/program delivery in an environment the size and scale of the Department
• Proven expertise in successfully managing complex ICT change programs

Eligibility requirements

Australian citizenship with Baseline security clearance is required.
