Our client, global resource company, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a variety of network infrastructure projects, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from design to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver infrastructure minor works.
- Design and commission a range of network technologies across various domains, including corporate, production, and process control.
- Develop high-quality technical requirements and design documentation.
- Create comprehensive change management plans, encompassing implementation, rollback, and testing strategies.
- Participate in the transition of assets and solutions to the support team.
- Manage multiple smaller work packages independently, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent industry experience in the design and implementation of IP networks and security.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (e.g., REP, STP, OSPF, BGP).
- Proven ability to develop detailed design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and rollback plans.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firewalls, including the implementation of new policies and troubleshooting access issues.
- Demonstrated experience in technical design development and documentation.
- Expertise in change management processes.
- Mining industry experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
