Job description
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware while ensuring seamless operations across distributed datacenters. You'll also contribute to technical documentation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work within a VMware-based Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC).
Security Clearance: NV1 (Mandatory)
Location: Canberra (on-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and supporting hardware in multiple datacenters
- Developing technical documentation and operational processes
- Performing capacity planning and continuous improvement
- Managing firmware updates and infrastructure assets
Essential Experience Required:
- Deploying and managing hardware in datacenters
- Working with HPE Compute & Storage, network storage (iSCSI/Fiber-Channel), and security technologies like Palo Alto NGFW
- Network configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco IOS-XE/NXOS)
- Experience in VMware-based Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC)
- Understanding of Essential 8 and ISM compliance
Desirable Experience:
- Agile and project team experience
- Familiarity with SDN (Cisco ACI), DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies
- Automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Advanced HPE Storage Management and NSX-T Firewalling
