Job description

Our client is one of the largest NSW government departments. They are seeking a Senior PMO Analyst who plays a critical role in ensuring the effective governance, reporting, and execution of the SAP S/HANA Upgrade Program. This role provides analytical support, develops reporting frameworks, ensures adherence to PMO standards, and drives continuous improvements in project and program management processes.

Must have:

  • Experience in PMO analysis within NSW Government.
  • Minimum of 7 years in project governance, reporting, or PMO roles.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex data, write reports, and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited direction.
  • SAP s/4 Hanna projects

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in writing reports and delivering presentations.
  • Develop and maintain program governance frameworks, decision-making structures, and reporting standards.
  • Oversee governance adherence, version control, and accessibility of key program documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and contractual obligations.
  • Support governance forums, including Steering Committees and vendor governance meetings, ensuring effective decision and action tracking and reporting.
  • Manage and/or conduct assurance reviews and audits on program deliverables and activities to ensure compliance with government, governance, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain oversight and support the management of risk, issue, and change management processes and activities across both internal teams and the Implementation Partner.
  • Support proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation management.
  • Ensure adherence to change control processes, approvals, and governance requirements.
  • Track and manage dependencies between internal teams and the Implementation Partner to mitigate risks.
  • Act as a key liaison between program stakeholders and the Implementation Partner to ensure delivery, governance and reporting alignment and quality expectations are met.
  • Track and monitor the Implementation Partner's compliance with reporting, contractual, and quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams and the Implementation Partner on PMO frameworks, processes, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain key program reports, dashboards, and insights for all stakeholders, covering program health, financial tracking, and key performance indicators.
  • Oversee documentation and records management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility.

Key challenges

  • Coordinating complex, interdependent projects across a large-scale SAP transformation while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
