Information Security Team Overview:
Operating within the IT Architecture and Information Security Department, the Information Security team offers a comprehensive suite of services, including security governance, awareness and training programs, security testing, incident detection and response, investigations, and digital identity and access management. The team's mission is threefold:
1. Safeguard the security of teaching, learning, and research data across the University.
2. Enable innovation within the University by managing risks.
3. Cultivate a security-aware culture, build trust, and protect the University's brand.
Senior Cyber Security Analyst Role:
Working under broad direction and with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Cyber Security Analyst delivers essential operational security support. Key responsibilities include proactive daily monitoring and validation of security alerts, responding to customer requests and reports, conducting vulnerability scans, maintaining the security toolset, performing and executing penetration tests, and addressing both potential and actual security incidents. The Senior Cyber Security Analyst is crucial in maintaining a sustainable security operations capability, contributing to the development and training of junior security operations staff, and effectively communicating with stakeholders both within and outside the ITDS branch.
