Our client, a globally acclaimed leader in Mining and Agriculture, is recruiting for a SOC Analyst on a 12 month (renewable) contract. As an integral part of their Security Operations Centre (SOC), you'll utilise your cyber security expertise to ensure the safety of the client and its associated entities. Responsibilities:
- Oversee network monitoring, firewall/security device configuration, and lead incident response and threat hunting efforts.
- Evaluate cyber and information security risks, deploy effective security frameworks, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASD Essential 8, ISO 27001, and NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Conduct assurance activities, including gap analysis, audits, reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
- Perform rigorous security testing, including vulnerability assessments across the organisation's enterprise IT environments, utilising expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 to enhance security measures.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cyber security roles, with a preference for SOC operations.
- Strong understanding of security operations methodologies and best practices.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 SOC environment with rotating 12-hour shifts (encompassing both day and night rotations)
