Job description

Senior IDAM System Engineer

  • Identity Access management System engineer
  • 12 months + 2x 12 months contract
  • Hybrid work arrangement
  • Sydney
  • Senior - EL1 equivalent
  • NV1 or at least Baseline with the ability to obtain an NV1

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Run and maintain the Buyers core IT services, upon which all other IT services are based. Including; data centres, servers, virtualization, operating systems, storage, backup, time, logging, email, domain name resolution, web proxying and security.
  • Securely manage buyers connections to/from the internet and other government networks.
  • Perform daily security monitoring and risk mitigations

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test & implement identity management frameworks, systems and protocols;
  • Develop, implement and manage IAM systems including: SSO, authentication and access controls to ensure security, confidentiality, integrity and availability of IAM systems and data.
  • Develop and manage patterns for application deployment that manage security at every level.
  • Ensure that all procured and / or developed IAM systems are implemented properly and function as intended.

Skills and experience:

Mandatory

  • Extensive hands on experience with identity and access management, including;
    • Open standards;
    • Best practices and procedures; and
    • Various software solutions.
  • Design, implementation and maintenance experience with the ForgeRock product suite.
  • Experience performing deployments in highly secure and highly available environments.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting, identifying and resolving technical identity and access management related issues.

Desirable

  • Experience in continuously improving identity and access management solutions and systems for protection against evolving threats.
  • Knowledge of automation and Dev/Ops practices.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with business driven project teams as well as infrastructure teams.
