Job description

Our Client, One of Australia's Largest Local Departments is currently seeking a Senior Information Insights Manager to join them on an initial 12 month contract with WFH Flex and Market Rates on offer !

THE ROLE

As the Information Insights Manger, your role will be to empower every-one across the Department to realise their core values. This includes leading the data engineering, data science teams and platform and collaborating with and inspiring a wider group of data practitioners across the Department. This is a transformational role, expected to identify and enable areas for improvement through a strong values approach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY'S

  • Strategically collaborate across the department to identify areas where the capabilities of the insights platform and teams can be leveraged to transform and improve service delivery.
  • Be the technical lead for data engineering, data warehousing, dashboarding, reporting, artificial intelligence and machine learning for the department across all major technologies, with a special focus on Azure and SAP.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in the Information Services Branch Leadership Team in striving for exceptional customer experience, removing friction, disseminating data and insights to decision-makers, and simplifying the ICT and Digital landscape through strategic leadership.
  • Lead and collaborate in developing strategies and roadmaps for the improved delivery of capabilities and services in the Information Services Branch and across the department.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, highly capable data teams using leading-edge technologies and methodologies, delivering services to 8000+ employees.
  • Significant capabilities in contemporary analytical methodologies, guiding the mining and analysis of big data and transforming analysis of information into insights to guide decision making and increasing the understanding of solutions to problems
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining and developing relationships across organisational boundaries to drive consistent and seamless delivery and the direction of resources to corporate priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in terms of planning the resourcing of services with appropriate risk management to meet demand within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability and domain knowledge in Platform and Program Management and how it relates to ensuring ongoing delivery of value to the organisation and its customers.

DESIRABLE

  • Possess graduate or postgraduate qualifications in information systems, statistics or mathematics.
