Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior ObjectStar Developer. This is 12 month contract up to 24 month extension option. This role is open NSW, QLD, ACT, SA, & VIC. This role is open for open for Australian citizen with an active NV1 security clearance.

As an Objectstar Developer you will lead software development projects and provide technical leadership to their teams. You will manage software planning, development, and construction activities, and evaluate and resolve complex issues within the development and production environments.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Developing and supporting Objectstar applications
- Support Objectstar data migration project and subsequently application code transformation
- lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions
- develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
- provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance
- lead the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team's developments
- lead analysis, design, software development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities
- review and undertake high-level analysis of technical requirements to support project evaluation with proposed solutions
- ensure compliance with endorsed software development methodologies
- investigate and resolve highly complex ICT issues
- lead a positive risk management culture
- engage and manage stakeholder relationships and partner with other agencies and service providers to build service delivery capability
- contribute to business and strategic workforce planning, and drive the development of local strategies to improve key performance measures
- manage business objectives and implement strategic priorities to achieve outcomes
- lead the development and delivery of projects within the assigned area of responsibility

- assess risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies
- share knowledge and mentor and guide staff learning and development
Technical skills required for this role are:
ObjectStar, COBOL, JCL Extensive experience in developing Objectstar applications, production batch process support experience.
