Job description

Position: Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Adelaide (Hybrid)

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive Windows server and storage administration support. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Administer and support a large Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including user management and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage Distributed File System (DFS), Common Internet File System (CIFS), and NTFS permissions to ensure proper access controls.
  • Deploy Windows servers using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), ensuring consistent and efficient rollouts.
  • Collaborate with cloud service providers to manage and optimize AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Plan and execute large-scale data and file migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Provide support and administration for Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical support.
  • Extensive experience in Windows Server Administration and Active Directory.
  • Strong background in administering large M365 environments.
  • Proficiency with DFS, CIFS, and NTFS permissions.
  • Experience with SCCM for Windows server deployment.
  • Cloud experience or certification in AWS and/or Azure is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to large-scale data/file migrations.
  • Knowledge of Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams is a plus.

Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science, along with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
