Job description

Are you a talented UX/UI Consultant with a knack for both hands-on technical work and strategic advisory? Do you have a passion for transforming paper-based systems into cutting-edge digital solutions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Initially, this is a short term contract (3 Months) but is the view for extension.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Consultant to join our dynamic team on a pivotal digital transformation project. This role will involve both hands-on design and development as well as providing strategic guidance. You will play a crucial part in converting traditional paper-based systems into efficient and user-friendly online systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and user needs.
  • Design and develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Provide expert advice on UX/UI best practices and strategies.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with project goals and user expectations.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Consultant or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing hands-on design work and successful digital transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Australian Citizen willing to get NPC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in projects involving digital transformation and modernization of legacy systems.
  • Familiarity with defence industry standards and protocols.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
