Role Purpose:
Join a leading Australian financial services organisation as a Senior Cloud Engineer to drive the enhancement of their infrastructure through automation, orchestration, and scripting. This role involves strategic project leadership and collaboration with architects and stakeholders to advance self-service offerings on private and public cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain automated, self-service infrastructure services.
- Develop and deploy tools for automation and configuration management.
- Provide technical advice on infrastructure planning and architecture.
- Evaluate systems and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate on self-service technology strategies and task automation.
- Ensure effective roll out and optimisation of cloud services.
- Provide out-of-hour support as needed (if required)
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Must be based in Brisbane
- Extensive experience with cloud and virtualised environments (Azure, GCP, AWS, VMWare).
- Over 10 years with operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (ARM, Terraform).
- Proficiency in configuration management and orchestration (Ansible, DSC).
- Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Shell).
- Experience with enterprise APIs and security standards.
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office365.
- Expertise in identity solutions (Active Directory, Azure Authentication, MFA).
- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL processes.
Desirable:
- Experience with hybrid cloud, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) & experience with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps)
