Our client, a prominent leader within the mining sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Technology Asset Specialist to manage the full life-cycle of hardware and software assets. This role plays a critical part in optimising technology investments, mitigating risks, and enhancing productivity.
You will be responsible for ensuring precise asset tracking and management within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and collaborating with stakeholders to streamline asset acquisition, deployment, utilisation, and disposal.
Responsibilities:
- Manage hardware and software asset life-cycle, from acquisition to disposal.
- Maintain accurate records in the CMDB, including CI information, relationships, and dependencies.
- Optimise software license utilisation and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement on hardware sourcing.
- Support hardware forecasting and budget management.
- Oversee e-waste disposal of end-of-life hardware.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management practices.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of IT asset management experience.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is desirable.
- End User License Agreement experience.
- Experience with software asset management tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow).
- Configuration Management Database experience.
- Asset lifecycle management experience.
- Advanced Excel experience and skills.
