Job description

WEB DEVELOPER AND SYSTEMS SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

We're currently partnering with a growing, purpose-driven organisation based in Perth, seeking a versatile Web Developer & Systems Support Specialist to join their tight-knit team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to step into a sole in-house technical role, taking ownership of systems that support professionals used across Australia.

BENEFITS FOR YOU:

  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements
  • Competitive salary circa $80K-$120K + super (negotiable based on experience)
  • 7.5 hour workdays
  • Autonomy to shape technical direction and drive system improvements

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a broad and varied role that blends web development with internal systems and user support. You'll take over systems currently maintained by an external vendor, ensuring their ongoing performance and supporting future enhancements. The core platforms are already built, so your focus will be on BAU support, maintenance, and potential new feature development.

You'll also provide low-frequency technical support to internal users - resolving ad-hoc technical issues as they arise. A small on-call component exists and will be discussed during the interview process.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Strong experience across both front and back-end development
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of a technical environment
  • Comfortable providing basic IT support to internal users
  • Any experience in education or related sectors is a plus, but not required
  • Candidates on valid working visas are encouraged to apply

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • Frontend: Vue.js, TypeScript, Pinia, Vue Router
  • Backend: ASP.NET Core (.NET 8), C#
  • Database: SQL Azure (SQL Server compatible)
  • APIs: RESTful APIs (JSON, HTTP methods - GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
  • DevOps: Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure (manual scaling)
  • Monitoring: Application logging, Azure alerts
  • Authentication: .NET Identity, JWT, OAuth
