Job description
Our client, a local Government Department, is seeking a skilled BI Analytics Engineer to join their dynamic team on contract basis, with opportunities for extensions.
You'll build and manage BI and analytics solutions within their Data Lakehouse in Azure, and collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver insights that empower the Department.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data models using Data Vault 2.0.
- Build and optimise data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to improve data accessibility.
- Optimise queries for performance and data product creation.
- Implement data quality monitoring and automation best practices.
Essential Skills:
- 2+ years of Databricks experience.
- Analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development background.
- Data modeling, governance, and performance optimisation expertise.
- Azure and modern data platform understanding.
- Data engineering experience.
- Python and Databricks proficiency.
- Data Lakehouse principles understanding.
- Power BI (DAX, Power Query) and Azure Data Factory experience.
