Our client is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud solutions, primarily on AWS, while ensuring seamless integration with other cloud platforms. You will look after the strategic and align cloud initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy, governance framework, and cost management practices, including FinOps.
- Define and promote scalable, secure, and robust cloud architecture using Infrastructure as Code and containerisation technologies.
- Standardise CI/CD pipelines, automate operations, and optimise cloud application performance.
- Enhance cloud skills across teams through training programs, knowledge sharing, and cultivating cloud champions.
- Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures and validate strategies through PoCs.
- Provide hands-on support to teams, align strategies across functions, and foster a collaborative cloud community.
To be successful, much of the following must be highlighted in your CV:
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and deployment, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Practical experience with other major cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Demonstrated success in a senior-level architecture role, ideally within a product-driven organisation.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services, tools, and architectural principles.
- Skilled in leveraging the capabilities of Azure and GCP to design and implement effective cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, including security, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and standardisation.
- Familiarity with domain-driven design to enable effective cloud-based system architecture.
