- Melbourne based - Open to Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra candidates
- 12 months contract with extensions Likely - NV1 Clearance a must
- Must have experience in Postgres and SQL.
Work as a Database Administrator with a leading Consulting organisation on one of their Government sector projects.
Responsibilities:
- Participate as a MS SQL DBA in the establishment of infrastructure managed services for the client.
- Perform on going "business as usual" MS SQL DBA operations and administration tasks, including monitoring, health checks, database backups, performance management and tuning.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database platforms, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with other DBAs on the team and the broader infrastructure (compute, storage, network, datacentre) teams.
Skills Required:
- Must have experience in Postgres and SQL.
- DB2 Experience an advantage - not mandatory.
- Must be willing to work on call and rostered shifts outside of standard hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and produce technical documentation.
