Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to lead the development and implementation of security architectures and strategies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying, creating, and developing security artifacts, as well as setting the strategic direction for a comprehensive program of work. This program encompasses the deployment of Microsoft cloud-native capabilities and their integration with on-premise technologies. A broad exposure to various technologies is highly beneficial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand program requirements and security needs.
- Security Architecture Design: Design and configure both cloud and on-premise components to align with recognized security baselines and best practices.
- Security Controls Implementation: Implement and maintain security controls to protect internal programs from cyber threats.
- Assessments and Audits: Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
- Monitoring Processes: Develop processes for monitoring security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with security team members to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Guidance and Support: Provide security guidance and support to development teams to ensure the secure design and implementation of internal programs.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, recommending new approaches to enhance security posture.
- Documentation: Document security configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring they are well-documented and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in security engineering, focusing on cloud technologies.
- Cloud Configuration: Experience configuring cloud components to align with recognized security baselines.
- Security Frameworks: Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, CIS, SACSF, ISM.
- Technical Expertise: Excellence in technical concepts with a demonstrated commitment to expanding knowledge.
- Assessment Tools: Experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate security-related concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
