Job description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Governance Specialist to join their Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane team. This role is open for Australian citizens with an active Baseline clearance. This is a 6 month extension.

  • 6 month contract with 6 month extension option.

  • Hybrid working arrangements ( 3 days from office and 2 days WFH).

As the ICT Investment and Architecture Analyst you will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and prioritise technology investments. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement. Research, review and evaluate projects activities in specific operational or technical areas prepare and review written material including business cases, plans, reports and executive briefs and corporate documentation support innovation, manage and lead change and significantly contribute to business improvement strategies.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Review proposals and prepare detailed reports and recommendations on potential impacts on current and future strategic directions and architectures
  • Promote architecture principles, standards and guidelines to achieve improvements and best practice in processes and procedures
  • Assist with the resolution of complex architecture management, governance and technical issues * manage architecture governance processes
  • Review and investigate innovative approaches to resolve architecture issues
  • Prepare detailed reports on the outcomes of proof-of-concept projects
  • develop and manage key strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Lead and support the operations of a team, including monitoring business performance, priorities, and managing resources and workflow
  • Prepare and review a range of technical and corporate documentation
  • Draft solution architectures and cost estimates for architecturally significant projects
  • Support the management of budgets and manage finances, contracts, procurement, resources and expenditure

To be considered for this role you must:

  • 5+ years' experience in IT management, finance or related field
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) and IT cost management frameworks
  • Demonstrated understanding of FinOps and TBM principles
  • Demonstrated ability to provide independent assessment and recommendations about future budget pressures, including major revenue and expenses impacts, funding and capital pressures.
  • Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand linkages and develop long term plans
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of technology trends and investment.
  • Demonstrated advanced modelling and excel skills.
  • Proven understanding of ICT investment and architecture principles.
