ETL Developers
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: Until 30 June 2025, with potential for 12-month extensions (up to 2 extensions)
Security Clearance: Minimum BASELINE security clearance required
We are seeking two (2) highly skilled and experienced ETL Developers to support a major project focused on data integration and sustainment. You will work within a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core integrated data assets that are essential for supporting key business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and document procedures for ETL production support
- Analyze and resolve ETL production incidents
- Perform data profiling, system analysis, and impact analysis
- Design, develop, test, and document ETL processes
- Assist in physical table and database design and development
- Ensure data meets requirements and standards
- Estimate development efforts for changes and new applications
- Conduct code reviews and quality assurance tasks
- Develop, maintain, and unit test system components
- Manage competing priorities and conflicting interests
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Foster a positive team environment and effective working relationships
Must Have:
- At least 5 years of experience as an ETL Developer
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Proven experience in DB2 Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) platform
- Strong understanding of ETL standards, security, and governance
- Expertise in SQL, IBM Infosphere DataStage, DB2, and scripting tools (Perl, SQL, UNIX Shell)
- Experience with SDLC phases, data and impact analysis
Working Arrangements
Flexible working arrangements, including some work-from-home options, may be considered after commencement. Contractors are expected to spend a minimum of two days per week on-site in Canberra. All costs associated with remote work (e.g., travel, accommodation, utilities, equipment) are the contractor's responsibility.
