Network Engineer
- Baseline Security clearance is mandatory
- Location: Canberra, ACT (Fully onsite)
- Start ASAP
- Duration: 6 months with 2 x 6months extension options
About the role
You will provide critical support by designing, implementing, and managing network architecture, system operations, and cloud-based computing solutions. Leveraging your extensive experience in network architecture and strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure management, you will offer level 2 and 3 support, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to optimize network efficiency and security, while monitoring network performance and conducting scheduled upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network architecture, system operations, and cloud-based computing solutions.
- Oversee on-premises infrastructure management and server management.
- Provide level 2 and 3 support, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to optimize network efficiency and security.
- Monitor network performance and conduct scheduled upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience in network architecture, system operations, and cloud-based computing.
- Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure management and server management.
- Proven experience in providing level 2 and 3 support, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Ability to configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximise network efficiency and security.
- Experience in monitoring network performance and conducting scheduled upgrades.
