Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, business analysts, solution architects, and senior stakeholders to design and deliver integrated ICT solutions.
- Develop engineering solutions with a focus on collaboration, dependency management, and integration with partner agencies and industry stakeholders.
- Analyze complex systems, apply engineering expertise, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Manage and oversee the operation of installed systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools.
- Identify and escalate critical issues to relevant project leads or managers for resolution.
- Contribute to the development of external contracts, ensuring compliance with approval and verification requirements.
- Review external test plans and procedures, ensuring alignment with system requirements and verification standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop thorough documentation.
- Resolve challenges during capability development projects and provide effective solutions.
- Monitor and test application performance to detect bottlenecks, propose solutions, and collaborate with developers for implementation.
- Oversee testing and handover of implemented systems to meet organizational standards and minimize risks.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes and collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior team members and non-technical staff to build a skilled and cohesive team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- NV1 security clearance (mandatory).
- Proven experience in Cloud Solution Architecture (AWS), including both infrastructure and application aspects.
- Expertise in designing cloud security architectures and virtualized cloud database solutions.
- Strong knowledge of application design and transformation, with experience in .NET and integrations (ERP/Asset Management experience is advantageous).
- Engineering certification or knowledge in TOGAF and SOA frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of cloud architecture principles, including multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as CheckMK, Atlassian, AWS native tools, Splunk, THREDDS, KeyCloak, and application monitoring systems.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with hydrographic software, such as CARIS.
- Knowledge of geospatial systems and related technologies.
- Familiarity with bespoke data storage solutions.
