Paxus is currently seeking an experienced Objectstar Developer uses their in-depth knowledge mainframe programming languages.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Sound knowledge & experience of current approaches to analysis, design, development,implementation and maintenance of mainframe systems.
- Good knowledge of mainframe programming languages: particularly Objectstar and JCL.Sound knowledge of CA-Scheduler, Delphi and SAS are desirable.
- Experience in, or ability to carry out technical investigations associated with the Department's mainframe application systems.
- Good communication and liaison skills.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, to set priorities effectively and to organise work flow to achieve established goals in a team environment.
- A commitment to cooperative and safe working practices consistent with the APS Values and the Departments mission, vision, approach and values.
In this role, you will perform:
- Production support of Client's mainframe systems.
- Carry out technical investigations and provide advice.
- Produce/ maintain technical documentation
- Manage own workload and monitor and report on progress.
- Provide guidance to other programmers.
- Provide assistance to clients.
