THE ROLE
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Open Pit Mining Domain Consultant to provide expert advice and guidance to their mining clients. You will have extensive knowledge of open pit mining operations, including mine planning, design, mine control, autonomous haulage systems, fleet management and optimisation. You will work closely with clients to identify opportunities using information technology for improvement, develop strategic plans, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and profitability.
Previous experience in an AHS Mine Controller position using Caterpillar MineStar Command Fleet Management System is essential.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in open pit mining operations, including mine planning, design, and optimisation.
- Previous AHS Mine Control / Mine Planning / Autonomous Fleet experience (dozers, haul trucks, excavators, HME etc)
- Thorough understanding of FMS such as CAT Minestar for Load, Haul, Dispatch, including high precision machine guidance, CAS/ VAS, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in mining engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng., C.Eng.).
- Experience with mining software (e.g., Minestar, MineSight, Surpac).
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Experience working with clients across different cultures and regions.
