Position: Project Engineer - Track Reconstruction and Maintenance
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will support the planning team by developing detailed, constructible plans for track reconstruction and maintenance projects.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with asset management and front-line delivery teams to translate high-level scopes into actionable plans that drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, constructible plans for track construction and maintenance projects.
- Define and document project scope, including track access and construction methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including asset management and front-line delivery teams, to ensure alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure project plans meet budget, timeline, and feasibility constraints.
- Work closely with engineers, program planners, and project managers to coordinate efforts.
- Produce high-quality documentation for handover to delivery teams.
- Conduct occasional site visits as required (the role is primarily desk-based).
Key Requirements
Technical Experience
- Extensive experience in track construction or maintenance projects (essential).
- Engineering qualifications are preferred but not mandatory with equivalent industry experience (~10 years).
- Strong knowledge of planning and executing track reconstruction projects.
Other Requirements
- White Card (preferred but not mandatory; significant track construction experience typically implies this certification).
