Job description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Principal Developer to join their Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney team. This is a 12 month contract with 1x12 month extension option. The role is open for Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Develop and guide the targets and standards across Salesforce, Vlocity, and MuleSoft platforms ensuring alignment with best practices and SDP's principles and objectives.
  • Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and implement governance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure and compliant solutions for delivery.
  • Work closely with Program Directors, SDP Directors, Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineers, Project Managers and Release Managers.
  • Lead and mentor chapter teams in the respective technologies, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance skills and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to define and refine the technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the progress of development projects within the chapter, supporting the resolution of blockers and issues, and ensuring timely delivery of the development as planned by Scrum Masters.
  • Ensure seamless integration across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Vlocity
  • Regularly update stakeholders in a comprehensive way on Development chapter progress, risks, and achievement.
  • Actively participate in daily scrum activities.
  • Participate in solution design reviews, providing insights and recommendations to ensure the design is robust, scalable, and adaptable.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Proven experience as a software developer with a track record of leading development teams and delivering complex projects; experience in building team capability, establishing/refining and influencing processes/practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Vlocity components, including OmniScript, DataRaptor, and Integration Procedures.
  • Proficient in Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools.
  • Experience working with OOP, frameworks & design patterns and building & working with integration (example REST APIs, Platform Events).
  • Possess high level Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Omnistudio Developer/Consultant, Salesforce Architect Domain).
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Have successfully implemented minimum 5+ Salesforce platform-based CRM projects using an agile methodology.
