Job description

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a flair for Project Management? We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to be the vital bridge between business units and technology. In this role, you will assess new technology requirements from business units, collaborating closely with them to identify the best solutions. You will document business problems and propose how technology solutions can integrate with the overall technology ecosystem. You may also take on the role of project manager for smaller-scale initiatives, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the conduit between various business units and technology teams, understanding business requirements and determining the best technological solutions, either from existing systems or by going to market.
  • Develop clear documentation outlining business problems and potential technology solutions, ensuring alignment with the broader technology ecosystem.
  • Engage with technology teams to assess architecture and potential vendors, ensuring compatibility and optimal solutions.
  • Lead smaller-scale projects, from requirements gathering to delivery, taking on project management responsibilities as needed.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations and work independently to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, and produce necessary documentation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a large and complex environment
  • Demonstrated capability to oversee smaller sale projects
  • Proven experience in the Mining, Energy or Utilities sector will be very highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of ICT projects, including infrastracture and applications implementations
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and oversee smaller projects from start to finish.
