A day in the life...

  • Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge web applications, microservices, and APIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Deliver high-quality code that is secure, testable, and maintainable without unnecessary complexity.
  • Ensure reliability and performance by owning the quality of your work through testing, automation, and observability.
  • Solve complex business challenges by analysing requirements and building tailored solutions for customers.
  • Participate in collaborative code reviews to maintain high standards, ensure compliance, and share knowledge across the team.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation across codebases, architectures, and knowledge repositories.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to deliver exceptional solutions in an agile environment.
  • Drive innovation and improvement by proactively enhancing code quality, addressing technical debt, and refining best practices.
  • Make an impactful contribution by planning, designing, and building scalable and elegant software solutions.
  • Engage with the global engineering community to share knowledge, foster growth, and continuously improve engineering practices across the organisation.

Who you are...

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on full-stack engineering.
  • Strong expertise in building and delivering end-to-end solutions across front-end and backend using React, Node.js, and AWS.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities in code quality, standards, and software design best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in building responsive, user-friendly web applications for desktop and mobile.
  • Proven experience in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong experience in secure backend development with Node.js.
  • Proficiency in key technologies and platforms such as:
    • Terraform
    • Kubernetes
    • CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions)
    • OAuth IDP (Okta)
    • AWS services (EKS, Serverless, CDK, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront)
  • Solid experience in software testing using tools such as Cypress and Jest.
  • Standard office hours, with potential for after-hours work due to the global nature of the role.
