Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our clients' networks. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of their network services. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver robust networking solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP (highly desirable).
- Network Experience: Experience deploying OT wireless networks within the mining sector.
- Priority: Cisco and Rajant wireless networking. LTE exposure is a plus.
- Project Lead Role: Will lead projects to deliver network solutions to clients. Project management experience is a plus (desirable), but not expected to present technical solutions to clients.
- Hands-on Approach: Candidate should be willing to get into the field, and get their hands dirty.
- This is a more practical, boots-on-the-ground type of role compared to a purely governance-focused role.
- Defence Background: Highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Site Audits: Conducting audits to assess current network infrastructure and requirements.
- Network Design: Developing high- and low-level network designs to be handed off to junior engineers to set the standard.
- Mentorship: Able to provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
